The Morning Clouds ~ Wasted Youth Blues

October 12, 2011

I love how talent keeps pouring out of Denver’s ‘golden’ well… When you think the well might be close to dry, I guess… think again.  In 2010 one Morning Cloud was born via Josh Wambeke and a couple of his bedroom psych-gaze jams.  Fast forward less than a year – three more “clouds” have formed, the sound is bigger, and Wasted Youth Blues was released today via Lefse.  Check below for three epic cuts from Wasted Youth, and the video above for the opening track “A Walk Home” (a montage greeting card for anybody currently ‘occupying’ something).  The Morning Clouds will appear at their record release party tomorrow night at 3 Kings Tavern with another one of my favorite new finds Spires (from Denver, ridiculously good, and even freaking better live) + Tjutjuna.
